You coat your foe in salt crystals that stick to the skin and dry them out. The initial hit subject will take 2d6 damage per CL (Maximum 40d6) desiccation damage. If the subject passes their fortitude save they instead take desiccation cold damage. Either way the subject will be coated in dehydrating salt that will deal 1 constitution damage per round for the duration or until washed off or dispelled.
