The caster implants a thought, conclusion, or realization of no more than two sentences in the subject's mind. On a failed save, the subject believes the thought is entirely their own and regards it as the most profound realization they have ever had. The subject understands the intended meaning of the thought even if they do not share a language with the caster.

Epiphany creates a conviction, not a series of commands. The subject retains control of their actions but interprets events, rationalizes ordinary contradictions, and makes decisions with the implanted thought treated as self-evidently true. Merely arguing with the subject or telling them that they are under a spell does not grant another save.

The implanted thought cannot require the subject to immediately and knowingly injure or kill themself; attempting to implant such a thought causes the spell to fail. It can lead the subject into danger or convince them to harm others. If the subject is confronted with direct and undeniable proof that their epiphany is false, they may attempt another Ego save. They can only receive one additional save this way per day. A successful save ends the spell.

When Epiphany ends, the conviction loses its supernatural certainty. The subject remembers what they believed and anything they did because of it, but does not automatically learn that magic was responsible.
