Through methods specific to the user, they deal damage to themselves in equal parts bleed and non-lethal. The amount dealt will determine which and how many benefits are gained. In the round that Scourge is used, the user cannot receive any positive energy to heal. The bonuses are cumulative. For example if an effect takes 10 points of bleed/non-lethal damage, and the second takes 20 bleed/non-lethal. The user can take 30 bleed/non-lethal damage, to get both effects for the round. If the target has warding, this ignores the warding and directly damages the user.

VTT Description Macro:
@{character_name} punishes themselves to gain benefits. Equal parts bleed and non-lethal damage are taken. In the round that scourge is used, @{character_name} cannot heal. These bonuses are cumulative and gain have multiple activate if enough damage is chosen. If @{character_name} has warding, this bypasses the warding and harms them directly.

If 10 bleed and 10 non-lethal is taken, gain +[[1+floor(@{hd}/3)]] deflection bonus to AC.

If 20 bleed and 20 non-lethal is taken, gain +[[1+floor(@{hd}/3)]] (un)holy bonus to attack and damage.

If 40 bleed and 40 non-lethal is taken, gain [[20+2*(floor(@{hd}/3))]] Spell Resistance.

If 80 bleed and 80 non-lethal is taken, gain +[[1+floor(@{hd}/3)]] (un)holy bonus to all saves.
