Create, activate, or summon a small helper roughly the size of a house cat. Choose whether it is mechanical, spiritual, or alchemical each time you use this ability. The helper appears in the target square.

Initiative & turns. The helper acts on your initiative count, immediately after you, and cannot act until the start of your next turn.

Commands. The helper follows your verbal orders; changing its actions requires a verbal command from you (no action required). If you give no new order, it repeats its last instruction; if it has none, it takes no actions on its turn.

Movement. The helper can move up to 20 ft. on its turn.

Statistics (derived from you).

  • AC: 8 + your HD + your PMA.
  • HP: 5 × your HD; at 0 HP it vanishes.
  • Saves: Uses your saving throw bonuses.
  • Type: Counts as a summoned creature for effects that reference summoned creatures.

Attack. Once per round on its turn, the helper makes one ranged attack with a thematically appropriate method (sting, dart, clamp, ectoplasm jab, etc.). This attack has a range of 15 ft. Make an attack roll of 1d20 + your Base Attack Bonus + your PMA + your Spell Proficiency against touch AC. On a hit, the helper deals 1d10 + (your PMA + your Spell Proficiency) piercing damage. Critical ×2.
Scaling: The damage die increases to 2d10 at 11 HD and 3d10 at 17 HD.

Abjuration & suppression. If an Abjuration effect (or any effect that dispels, dismisses, or suppresses summoned creatures) affects the helper, it is immediately dismissed (no save), regardless of remaining HP. If suppressed by anti-magic or similar, it returns when suppression ends if duration remains.
